The Holy Ghost Said!
The Harvest Shall Not Be Left In The Field
I don't remember the details of how the Holy Spirit spoke this into my spirit, but it's as clear as anything else that he has spoken. The harvest of souls in this world is not going to be left in the field when the harvest season is completed. James 5:7-8 tells us, "Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain. Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh." God has patiently been waiting for the spiritual rains to bring the harvest field of this earth to its fruition because he is going to reap a great harvest.
I had a grandfather who was a good farmer. He worked his fields diligently and took great care in seeing after his crops. When it came harvest time, he didn't rest until the harvest was fully reaped. To a good farmer, it wasn't acceptable to leave more than just the gleanings in the field. If anything more was left, it showed slackness on the farmer's part. God used this to reveal to me that he was likewise a good husbandman over his vineyard and he wouldn't be doing a good job himself if he left the major part of the harvest in the field. As good a farmer as my grandfather was, there's no way that he could be more diligent over his harvest than God will be over his.
The church, for which Jesus is going to return, will not be a tattered remnant, which barely escapes the ensuing winter, but will be a glorious church containing the full harvest from all corners of this world. We see mention of this in Ephesians 5:25-27, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish." God is going to do a quick work to prepare the church and bring in the harvest before the end. It would be a great blemish on the church if the harvest were left in the field.
If you will receive it, Samson is a type of the church and we see that he destroyed more in his death than he did in his life. He judged Israel 20 years which is symbolic of the 2000 year church age. He lost his anointing just as the early church lost its anointing during the dark ages, but it will be restored at the end just as Samson's anointing was restored. There are more people alive today than the total number of people that have lived since Adam was created. We can easily see how the end time harvest can be greater than the total preceding harvest.
In 1987, someone wrote a book giving 88 reasons why the Lord would return in 1988. I didn't read the book and don't remember the author's name because it wasn't important to me. The Holy Spirit was clearly speaking to me that Jesus wasn't returning in 1988 because a great revival and harvest had to occur first. I boldly proclaimed to those that were getting caught up in the book that the Holy Spirit wasn't bearing witness to the book. Most of them didn't like it, because it appeared that I was saying that I heard more clearly from the Holy Spirit than they did. Well, I must have because we're still here today. Even though I expect to see Jesus return in my lifetime, I can still boldly declare, "Until we see the great revival and harvest, it will not happen!"
The church has gone through a time of shaking and preparation which can be compared to David's cave years when he was hiding from Saul. He was in a distressful time of training, which was preparing him to take his rightful place as king of Israel. Likewise, God has been preparing the church to see the greatest revival that it has ever seen. We have been going through a distressful period of training when everything that can be shaken will be shaken. A lot of dead wood has been pruned, but once the church is revived she will be ready to receive the harvest of lost souls that will be brought into the kingdom of God. One reason for the preparation is that God is going to release his power into the church in a greater manner than is described in the book of Acts. The world is going to be turned upside down once again by believers walking in the anointing and power of God.
God once impressed me to go through the book of Acts studying the power of the early church. He gave me ten ways that his power was demonstrated which are only foreshadows of what is going to take place in this last revival. The great harvest of souls is just one of the ten, but by far the most important. We will also see the church coming together in one mind and one accord (Acts 1:14, 2:1). We will see people sell lands and houses and bring so much money into the church that there will be no lack (Acts 4:24). We will see angels work together with the church in a mighty way (Acts 5:19, 8:26, 10:3, 12:7, 12:23, & 27:23).
Power is going to be released to bring divine judgement on people who stand in the way and will not repent. It caused a great fear when two people fell dead in the early church for lying to the Holy Ghost (Acts 5). Can you imagine the stir it will cause when that happens in numerous churches across the land? Herod was smitten by an angel because he lifted himself up as God (Acts 12:23). How many politicians will fall dead today before they begin to fear God? Government and political parties won't be allowed to play God either. If the prophet of God tells the Supreme Court to reverse Roe versus Wade, those that are left will gladly do so. Paul called blindness down on a person trying to hinder the proclamation of the gospel (Acts 13:11). That kind of power can only be released through a prepared church.
Sovereign guidance for people to go particular places at specific times will abound (Acts 8:26, 9:10, 10:5, 13:2, 16:9, 27:23). Miracles, signs, and wonders will be common place. Dreams and visions will be frequent occurrences. The gifts of the Holy Ghost will be in manifestation in such prevalence that only diehard skeptics will question the move of God. The church is indeed going to turn the world upside down before the Lord's return (Acts 17:6). Those that are left behind at the rapture will be glad to see us go just like the Egyptians were glad to see Moses depart with the children of Israel. However, their gladness will be cut short once the tribulation begins.
The church will become glorious beyond anything that we can imagine today. She will see the fullness of every move of God that has gone before fulfilled all at the same time, and in an even greater manner. Just as there was not one sick among the children of Israel when they departed out of Egypt, there will be no sick among the church that is watching and waiting to see the Lord's return. In a prophecy that the Holy Spirit gave, he said that this final revival will be like a tidal wave compared to other waves that have gone before.
Note: Since first writing this chapter, I believe that the greatest part of the harvest will occur after the rapture of the Bride of Christ. At that time, the Laodicean part of the church which is left behind will wake up to the Baptism of the Holy Ghost and get on fire like nothing that has been seen since the early church. Right now, most demoninational churches think that they have need of nothing, but when left behind at the rapture, they are going to realize that they needed what the Pentecostal church preached all along!
